Update on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Project

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT, a project of Infrastructure Ontario, is on track for completion in 2021. My office has been actively engaged with residents about the traffic impacts resulting from the construction work on Eglinton Avenue, from Leslie Street to Victoria Park Avenue. I am committed to minimizing traffic impacts as much as possible through on-going communications with Crosslinx and Metrolinx, who I meet with regularly.
Looking ahead, here are the LRT travel times eastbound from Yonge and Eglinton to:

  • Leslie Street/Sunnybrook Park
  • Wynford Drive
  • Sloane Avenue
  • O’Connor Drive

6.5 minutes
10.5 to 11.5 mins
12.5 to 14 mins
14.5 to 16.5 mins

Something to look forward to, to be sure, but in the meantime I will continue to look for ways to reduce the disruptions wherever possible.

It is a great honour to serve our community as Councillor and Deputy Mayor.

Our new Ward is large and diverse. It goes as far North as the 401, as far south as Gateway Blvd and the DVP, as far west as Leslie St. and as far east as Victoria Park.

We have nearly 95,000 residents and comprise many different neighbourhoods. They include Fenside, Parkwoods/Donalda, O’Connor Hills, Victoria Village, Flemingdon Park, Wynford Drive, Don Mills, and York Heights.
