Broadlands Gets a Makeover
Broadland Community Centre is being renovated. Repairs began last fall, and the reopening will take place in the fall of 2019, with the pool will schedule to open this summer. This $2 million rehabilitation includes waterproofing, upgrades to the plumbing and electrical systems, new doors, paint and floor finishings and reconfiguring of change rooms and washrooms to meet accessibility requirements.
Interior work now in progress includes tiling, doors, fixtures and finishes at washrooms, change rooms and hallways. Exterior work now in progress includes the new lower floor entrance, re-roofing, and resurfacing the pool deck. These upgrades will ensure the continued operation of the facility for the enjoyment of residents for years to come.
