Don Mills Crossing –
A New Planned Community
Next Door to Canada’s
Original Planned Community
The vision for the Don Mills Crossing area is for a complete community to emerge between the branches of the Don River Valley system, centred on the intersection of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East. The design of the community will celebrate the area’s natural heritage and build on the tradition of cultural and technological innovation. The recommended Secondary Plan will support a vibrant mixed-use community, connections with nature, enhanced mobility choice, comfort and connectivity, and inclusive city building to enable the delivery of new community services and facilities, such as a community centre and child care centres.
The Final Don Mills Crossing Secondary Plan and other project information and reports, such as the Mobility Planning Study, the Cultural Heritage Resource Assessment, and the public consultation presentation boards are available on the Don Mills Crossing website at www.toronto.ca/donmillscrossing.
It is a great honour to serve our community as Councillor and Deputy Mayor.
Our new Ward is large and diverse. It goes as far North as the 401, as far south as Gateway Blvd and the DVP, as far west as Leslie St. and as far east as Victoria Park.
We have nearly 95,000 residents and comprise many different neighbourhoods. They include Fenside, Parkwoods/Donalda, O’Connor Hills, Victoria Village, Flemingdon Park, Wynford Drive, Don Mills, and York Heights.
